The higher incidence of neoplasms is partly related to the fact that our pets share not only the same environment with us humans, but also a similar lifestyle and unsuitable dietary habits.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/veterinatrutnov.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/tumor-ucho-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"183\" height=\"183\" \/><\/p><p>In accordance with the latest knowledge in veterinary medicine, we support the principle of removing an unwanted growth as soon as it appears. As time progresses, not only does it get larger, but additionally, <strong>tumor cells can travel and form further tumors<\/strong> in other tissues, so-called metastases.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/veterinatrutnov.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/tumor-mammae.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"184\" height=\"184\" \/><\/p><p>Using modern surgical techniques, we remove <strong>skin and subcutaneous growths, mammary gland tumors, as well as tumors in the thoracic and abdominal cavities<\/strong>. Certain types of cancer (e.g., leukemia, lymphoma) are treated with chemotherapy. If necessary, we administer blood transfusions.<\/p><h2>Why have a tumor examined histologically?<\/h2><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/veterinatrutnov.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/PF-pes.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"182\" height=\"182\" \/><\/p><p>We send samples of removed growths for histological examination. <strong>Determining the exact type of tumor is crucial for establishing a prognosis<\/strong> (further development) or for supplementing the therapy. Even malignant tumors do not have to mean a bad outcome. <strong>Timely surgical intervention<\/strong> is very important. Time-consuming and technically demanding surgeries on senior pets at an advanced age pose a high risk during anesthesia, or such a procedure may no longer be possible at all.<\/p><h2>Myths about cancer<\/h2><h3>&#8220;We will wait and see what it does.&#8221;<\/h3><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/veterinatrutnov.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/epulis-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"204\" height=\"204\" \/><\/p><p>This saying <strong>can significantly shorten your pet&#8217;s life.<\/strong><\/p><p>Every tumor can, sooner or later, start to grow, bleed, and cause pain. To this, the risk of invading other organs must also be added.<\/p><h3>&#8220;If you cut into the tumor, the patient dies.&#8221;<\/h3><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/veterinatrutnov.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/DSC_0107-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"224\" height=\"224\" \/><\/p><p>Owners sometimes believe that if a tumor is &#8220;at rest,&#8221; nothing is happening. However, as soon as it is interfered with, it activates and begins to grow rapidly or forms metastases (daughter tumors in other tissues). This myth originated in human medicine, where <strong>in the past, tumors were operated on at a later stage of development<\/strong> and accurate diagnostic methods were not available.
