Welcome to the Horská Veterinary Clinic in Trutnov

Our veterinary clinic was newly built on a greenfield site and opened its doors for the first time on February 1, 2010. The name Horská (Mountain) is not just derived from the street where you can find us. We are located at the very foothills of the Giant Mountains (Krkonoše), and with a bit of exaggeration, it is said that we are the only veterinary clinic where you can enjoy a direct view of Sněžka during your visit.

Facilities for Your Maximum Comfort

• Easy Parking: Six reserved parking spaces are prepared for you directly at the clinic.
• Wheelchair Access: You can comfortably access the building with a stroller or with pets that have mobility issues.
• Comfortable Waiting Room: Plenty of seating awaits you in our spacious waiting room, along with a fresh bowl of water always ready for your four-legged friends.
• Pleasant Company: Our veterinary nurse or receptionist will be happy to make any waiting time more pleasant by offering you a drink or some interesting reading material.

Separate Exam Rooms and Our Specializations

To minimize stress for our patients, we work in two separate examination rooms. In addition to routine preventive and therapeutic care, we specialize in dermatology, orthopedics, advanced surgical procedures, oncology, and emergency medicine.

The clinic's facilities are complemented by our own in-house laboratory for rapid microscopy, hematology, and biochemical blood analysis. We perform surgical procedures in sterile, air-conditioned operating theaters.

• First Exam Room: Used for initial examinations, routine therapy, minor treatments, and ultrasound diagnostics.
• Second Exam Room: This room is separate and reserved specifically for feline patients and emergency cases. It is equipped with digital X-ray, an incubator, and two hospitalization boxes for immediate monitoring of post-operative and critical conditions.

Sensitive, Stress-Free Hospitalization

We know that being separated from their owners is difficult for pets. Therefore, canine and feline patients are hospitalized in separate rooms in special, comfortable boxes designed to minimize their stress. Visits from owners are fully welcomed and encouraged.

In 2019, Horská Veterinary Clinic became one of the first veterinary facilities in the Czech Republic to pass a rigorous certification according to the international standard ISO 9001:2015 (implemented locally as ISO 9001:2016).
